In 2022, this grant will go towards financing the AMEE ESME Flexi Online Medication Course that the Clinician Educator Track (CET) neurology residents are required to take.

The purpose of the CET is to provide residents with a skillset and portfolio to become effective clinician-educators. During this track, residents will have the opportunity to become versed in learning theory, polish their skills as educators, develop a scholarly project in medical education, and receive mentorship from faculty that will aid them in career development.

Fulfilling our mission means caring for those who care for you.

It is no secret that quality medical care is of utmost importance when dealing with any illness.  A part of our mission is to educate, empower and equip medical professionals at whose hands people with PD receive care. As such, we partner with UT Southwestern to award grants to neurology residents on an annual basis.

The Capt. P.S. Abraham Resident Grant, named after the man in whose memory the Foundation was started, was used in 2020-2021 to provide books, training and meals to residents who took on additional shifts during the Covid-19 pandemic.
